I’m entering this contest so that I can safely transport my daughter. Right now, we are using a 12 year old van that has continuous issues as well as the lift will not always work and has to be manually wound up and down. My daughter recently had major hip surgery which now requires special seating arrangements for her which makes it a very tight fit for her new wheelchair. In order to get her in the van, her wheelchair has to be lifted as it is being turned to be in the safest position. Due to medical reasons, I am unable to do this. Without a newly adapted van, it won’t be long before we are unable to take her on outings or bring her home for weekends, take her on vacations with us, and unable to make certain doctor appointments. This would break my heart all over again, like the time we had to move her so she could continue to be cared for safely. My daughter, Renee is 34 and has rett syndrome. Renee is my life and having a dependable, safe van for her would be a dream come true that would allow me to continue to be a big part of her life. This van would greatly help us to maintain a great quality of life for her. Please find it in your heart to vote for us daily.
